Vacancies for Senior Research, Administrative and Professional Staff Grades

The Graduate School of Landscape Architecture at Peking University (GSLA, PKU) was established in January of 2003, based on the former Center of Landscape Architecture and Planning. The current dean of GSLA is Professor Kongjian Yu, Doctor of Design at Harvard Graduate School of Design. GSLA comprises a total 15 domestic and foreign professors, 9 enrolled doctoral candidates, 44 enrolled master of Science in Landscape Architecture (MSLA) candidates and 30 Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) candidates. The Peking University has a strong background in multi-disciplinary as well as the tradition of creation and innovation. GSLA has earned its reputation from domestic and international counterparts with its advanced education model while maintaining the unique features of Peking University. GSLA has prepared itself for further development.

GSLA will endeavor to build upon its strength to be the first-level graduate school in the world and improve the development of the discipline. To fulfill the mission, GSLA would like to provide the following job vacancies:

Deputy-dean:
Vacancy: 1-2
Payment: 240,000-360,000RMB annual salary (include all required tax and social welfare)
Experience requirement: 8+ years
Education Requirement: Regional and urban planning, Ecological Planning, GIS, Designing for large-scale real estate development.

Director of Centers for Landscape Architecture research and Practice:
Vacancy: 3
Payment: 120,000-240,000RMB annual salary (include all required tax and social welfare)
Experience requirement: 5+ years
Education Requirement: Regional and urban planning, Ecological Planning, GIS, Designing for large-scale real estate development.

Postdoctoral Researcher:
Vacancy: 5
Degree requirement: Ph.D Degree gainer or will gain Ph.D Degree within June, 2007.
Payment: Follow the state’s related policies
Education Requirement: Regional and urban planning, Ecological Planning, GIS, Designing for large-scale real estate development.

Job Description:
Employment based on contract.
Want to get involved into the scientific research of landscape architecture and practice of landscape design and planning. Required to understand and identify with the academic thoughts and research system of GSLA.
